in Morocco and Algeria and Tunisia et other countries celebrate first day in
new year Amazigh.
In this day, every region has its habits, per example
there is some region make food with chicken called hagoza or TRID and some
other areas make another food called TAGULLA in Amazigh language. It is
porridge of barley. But this day not set as a holiday like two others new year
day, and a lot of Amazigh associations demand to set a holiday for January 12th

The Amazigh people were famers and fix the
date as the first agricultural calendar, this year 2017 we celebrate in Amazigh
calendar 2967 and Amazigh historian say the dating begins when the Amazigh king
Chachnaq triumphed over the Pharaoh of
Egypt Ramses II that was 950 b.c. they
was so proud of this great triumph. But a lot of people now do not really know
they are celebrating.
In Amazigh language we say ASUGGAS AMAYNOU
which mean happy new year; and IDD YENNAYER night before January 13th
people especially in some Amazigh regions make food and in some popular markets
we find chicken, sur when will be public everyone will celebrate it even Arabs.
